recently i rented the korean movie "my tutor friend"(right) cos I watched "my sassy girl" back in jc and it was one of the best shows i have EVER seen.(if not the best. if u haven't seen it b4, do yrself a favour and watch it NOW! seriously.) unfortunately, i feel that "tutor friend" doesn't really measure up to its pred ecessor. 
for one the female lead in my sassy girl (Ji-hyun Jun) is a lot prettier than Ha-Neul Kim (my tutor friend - the pic on the rite) and i felt the scenes in "my tutor friend" were just so predictable whereas the action in "sassy girl" is seriously wacky and total mayhem! There is also a slight reversal in roles. In "sassy girl" the poor guy is the one constantly being abused by his "girl" whereas in the other movie, the tutor is the one who takes most of the punches haha. i guessed i liked the second half of "my sassy girl" which was kinda melodrama as compared to "tutor friend" which was pure romantic comedy all the way. in the earlier movie, the couple are separated for several years and it involves letters, time capsules and a tree atop a mountain :) yeah it was really touching and when you are watching it you will really root for them to get together again cos they juz SO belong together haha. Anyway, it ends with a happy ending (GOOD!) and when i juz finished watching it i was like "WOW!" "my tutor friend" isn't that bad - i enjoyed watching it. it juz doesn't have charm and fun of "my sassy girl"
i wish they would stop holding exhibitions at the damn expo. i have been going there so often i am totally sick of that place (and particularly the 50min ride to get there)(book sale, lib bk sale, comex) sigh juz have it at suntec lah. their place so much better. in any case, i finally got the new mp3 player i wanted (even though it wasn't really cheaper - they juz threw in some freebies) Creative Vision M at $499 cos it is packed full of features with a decent price tag. Nano looks nice but sigh... no video no space no batt life. ah that's juz this annoying problem with the display of chinese characters on the player. sometimes the characters come out perfectly but for the rest it comes out as gibberish! damn i cant even tell wat song i m listening to... it probably has something to do with the fact that my mandopop source is 99% net-based and rather unreliable T_T
