Let's Talk over Coffee.... |

Tuesday, November 28, 2006 If there's something that I have learnt over the weekend, it is that peacocks attack cars! I have never seen it occur before but i thought the sign placed in the carpark on Sentosa was hilarous. BEWARE PEACOCKS MAY ATTACK YOUR VEHICLE! My uncle told me it was probably something to do with the poor bird seeing its reflection in some shiny surface and subsequently attacking it.I hereby apologise for ever thinking that the Sentosa Luge was a waste of money and not fun at all. When I tried it over the weekend, it was shiok! You can really reach a high speed and cornering can be quite exhilarating. The best part is overtaking the slow-pokes who are either too timid to go at a decent speed or just want to get the most bang for their buck. If I was with a group of friends, I bet we would have taken the $25 package, unlimited rides for an hour! We had chilli and black pepper crab at the seafood stall which was quite good and also quite rare, since my dad doesnt really like crabs. sob. I must admit that the thought of cycling to Sungei Gedong never appeared in my mind before. Until today, Eugene msg me to ask if i wanted to cycle to camp so he could pass a charger to Zhi Kai who was booking in. I couldn't resist the challenge and so off we went haha. The round trip took abt 2 hours. We went from Boon Lay and returned using the Choa Chu Kang way. It's been a long time since I cycled for so long and I really enjoyed the trip. One Friday night when we had to stay back for SOC in the morning, the six of us gathered to play Risk. I, Yuan Rong, Joseph, Mark, Eugene Chan and Richard squared off against each other in the battle for global domination. Eventually it ended up being a 3v3 contest. Eugene, joseph and Mark were allied in the fight against our coalition, which actually was just Richard and the two of us praying we will survive the next turn :) Sadly, my dice tossing skills are pathetic as most of my friends agree... My heavily fortified African continent was ravaged by a single army from Mark. The turn ended with a pitiful handful of my troops huddling on Madagscar, awaiting a rescue attempt. It was a close fight but in the end our side lost. Joseph went out first in a blaze of glory followed by my own demise.(which by then barely mattered at all haha)
