Let's Talk over Coffee

yeah so we went to watch it; clement, me, vora , ganesh and zheng cang. i ain't complaining it was worth the ticket alright! it was a perfect action movie i thought - started with heart-pumping action and managed to keep up the pace the whole way + good cast ( handsome actor = tom cruise - not so important + chio actresses -= Michelle Monaghan as Julia (ethan's fiance) and Keri Russell as Lindsey ( ethan's best student) ) and a decent plot that manages to keep viewers guessing for a while )

i was also thinking during the show " what if ethan died ? or any other member of the team? like lindsey's case the black dude ( who acted as mace windu in star wars) told her family she died in highway accident SAD . anyway maybe hollywood could have made a spin-off movie from mi3 - what if the parents are like unable to accept the fake story the IMF fed to them so they start digging for facts n stuff. So you got this thriller abt a mum n dad desperately seeking the truth abt the death of their promising young daughter. throw in some flashbacks n hidden references n chase scences n weepy stuff n when the climax come s and the truth is revealed - YOUR DAUGHTER IS A SPECIAL AGENT - CONGRATULATIONS! AND NOW THE MOVIE ENDS! not bad huh maybe i carry on a short story abt it next time and print it online or something haha

but seriously the part where the main baddie 'killed' Julia was gd ! i didn't think they used another person haha really a nice twist. but then again a lot of cliches also lah like when Owen Davian is captured by Ethan and then he escapes again cos of a mole in the IMF (not international monetary fund btw) so obviously the bugger would go after the girl but the scenes when ethan races desperately against time to try and save his wife were a nice touch. he looked really desperate and hopeless like he knows he ain;'t gonna get there in time - so do we haha - the best part of the movie gotta be where he tries to steal the rabbits foot ( totally stupid name really but it was a witty remark by ethan's bossman when ethan asked what the hell was it? he replied, " stay and i will tell you...." ) Tom Cruise had to swing himself across the yawning chasm to bridge the gap to the building with the rab foot inside. the scene leading up to the jump was breath-taking i always had a fascination with heights and the view from the top of the skyscraper swallowed me in i could imagine myself standing there, feeling the wind and seeing everything so small below and when you jump you feel your heart sink to yr stomach, you tend to close yr eyes and think what the fuck m i doing and you start to pray and promise God that you ain't gonna be bad no more if only he would save ya from this awful fate of falling splat onto the pavement and yr relief when you hit the ground safely and you find that you had ony shit yr pants - i tried the rides in gold coast b4 - BIG DROP AND VIKING BOAT or some shit like that so if you were ethan and you actually swung from 1 tall building to another you will feel like that x like 9999. that part was heart stopping i gotta give it to them even though you know tommy boy's gonna make it cos he can't die and all but when he hits the side of the chink building and starts sliding................................................................ you are thinking like oh shit oh shit he ain;t gonna make it he's dead and you wonder what if it's me ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
