Sunday, June 18, 2006 Having fun!Ah a trip to sentosa. it has been a long time since i was last there ( i think it was for Mrs Koh's wedding last December haha our batch has a bumper crop of weddings 1. Mr Ariff Chan 2.Mrs Debra Koh 3. Mrs Jean Teh ) Oh yeah i should take this chance to flame this fellow's blog http://relac-one-corner.blogspot.com/ totally ridiculous haha nvm so far he only crap abt nus med and his ns life. The three of us went with the vague notion of taking the Sentosa Luge (some really stupid ride down a small hill which costs $8 and the speed is pathetic i could probably roll down the hill faster) , cycling around and stoning on the beach. Typical of the company(yours truly included), we unanimously decided on the last option. The idiots didn't bring a change of clothes of course. We spent the better part of an hour scouring the sun-scorched landscape for a good spot to put up my hammock (YEAH I LOVE HAMMOCKS man i wish i stayed near ECP i would prob sleep there every night so shiok) it's been quite a while since the last odac expedition and so i was a little rusty at my hammock-setting-up skills but it was ready in no time. There followed a desperate struggle for the much coveted sweet spot between me and heng lip but i got what was rightfully mine in a matter of moments. Basking in the glow of victory, the defeated left to lick their wounds. (actually they went to get drinks :>)Earlier in the morning i had jokingly asked hl to treat us cos he was so lucky to get into nus med in the second round(i had to bluff that kok yeeonn treated us too haha) and i was quite surprised that he agreed to buy us a drink. I have a feeling the poor boy was too overwhelmed by his sudden change in fortune and too 'high' that he would have agreed to anything(sigh opportunity lost) case in point: this was the first time we have caught sight of the elusive specimen known as lim heng lip ever since the medical essay test because the poor beast was chained to his home by World of Warcraft. Ah anyway we got a mug of draft beer each and i downed mine quickly. seriously who drinks in the early morning ??? besides the thing tastes like shit and i can't see why people actually pay for it. It was back to the hammock again!!! for me at least. the two of them went sun-tanning lol i had enough of that. ah how could i describe it... lazing on a hammock with nothing on yr mind....( damn my positioning was off. if i laid on one end, i could see a volleyball match complete with hunks and bikini babes (the sad kind T_T) but my head was lower than my feet so it is kinda uncomfortable. on the other end, i could only see a bunch of gays sitting close together watching the container ships in Sentosa bay sighhhhh ) hammocking is fun sigh especially on mountains where ya can really feel the wind and the and sounds of the forest.... ( of course there was the annoying bit abt lugging your barang barang down the mountain i find that usually after 1 hr into an expedition our thoughts start to gravitate towards stuff like 'hot bath', '100 plus - ice cold', 'air con bedroom' oh yar 'sausage macmuffins' is a hot fav too) sigh so shiok to have a house near a beach then you can just hang around the sea all day. Afterwards, we left to watch CARS (very nice show definitely worth yr money) with clement and zheng cang * HOT TOPIC OF THE DAY : LATEST SCANDAL IN NUS SCHOOL OF MEDICINE - SENIOR MEDICAL STUDENT (XXX) OFFERS TUITION FOR SEX TO FRESHMAN (YYY) - STAY TUNED * due to certain sensitive issues ahem the above post has been modified to protect the identity of the accused and his intended partner. If you have read the unedited post, forget the name(i think i spelt it wrongly anyway) and carry on reading. :) |
