I read the novel "Sideways" a while back and enjoyed it a lot. It had all the essential elements of a good book: wine, women, sex and comic dialogue between the two male buddies. Unfortunately, the movie failed to meet up to expectations. Perhaps it's because Sideways doesn't sit well as a movie to me. All its charms and treasures belonged to the written word and the reader's imaginations. (For me, a movie means lots of CGI effects) Right now i am halfway through the Family Guy discs and really digging them. Even my brother loves them! I am still eagerly waiting for my Grey's Anatomy season 1 from Alywyn who has promised that I was next in line after his cousin.

"The Time Traveler's Wife" remains one of my favourite reads of all time. Despite all the business about time travelling, the book is a romance novel at heart, and a very good one that. The prose is simple and easy to comprehend. The two lead characters, Henry and Clare, are such good people that you would just find yourself rooting for them to get together in the end. (which did not happen sadly. I thought the ending was very nicely done. Henry passed away before his time but at the end Clare met him again for the last time when she was very old because there was a time when he time travelled to the future.)
