I think Corpse Bride ranks up there together with the Shrek movies as some of the best animated features that I have seen. The plot is fairly simple; Victor the shy bridegroom accidentally wanders into the woods while attempting to memorize his wedding vows. It so happens that he manages to get it right once and places his ring on what seemed to him like a stick(but was actually Emily's ring finger). Poor Victor is dragged down below where he learns of Emily's sad fate and that he is now married to corpse. After some time spent together, Emily begins to grow on him and he is torn between the two ladies. It was full of laughs and the ending was sweet as candy.
I am not sure when it happened but it seemed that one can find Sweettalk outlets everywhere.(To the ignorant, it sells bubble tea, which incidentally tastes different from the real Taiwanese drink which is a lot milkier) I thought bubble teas went out of fashion some time ago but they seem to making a comeback now haha.
To my lucky friend, Govin, who is currently in New Zealand probably having the time of his life now, have fun! Sigh. The benefits of being an ammo specialist = taking 10 days of annual leave straight and no crappy recalls. I can't believe that his parents actually allowed him to go alone. With a budget of 2k NZD for 10 days.. man some people have it good.
I could say time flew by for the block leave but it would sound rather cliche. It wasn't exactly all i hoped for since a)uni exams were on b)no other guys were having leave. I was left to look for stuff to occupy myself with haha. Unfortunately, i juz cant bring myself to continue reading Death Note after L died. It just doesn't feel the same as before. The period of time when L and Light were competing directly with each other in their battle of wits was the best in the manga. The following story arc involving L's successors, Near and M just doesn't really measure up.
