Sunday, March 04, 2007 We cant be too careful nowadays. Last Thursday(which means i missed parental guidance AGAIN.), our battalion was the victim of a raid by MPs. There was absolutely no warning at all. You really got to give it to them. They have it down to an art. Less then ten seconds after Mark rushed into the bunk shouting that the MPs were here, their first man stepped into the room. There was barely enough time to hide whatever contraband items i had(which shall not be divulged here of course. Once is once too many thank you.)Unfortunately, it was only when we were all herded to the ground floor that I realized that I had missed out something potentially disastrous.(extremely so actually)(which again shall not be mentioned haha) Suffice to say I was already counting the no. of days of SOL i would be awarded during that long hour waiting. Although I wasnt the person who brought that thing in, I was the only person using it and technically, the onus was on me to dispose of it. To our overwhelming relief, the MPs didnt find it, the dogs didnt find it and it remained blissfully unaware in its box of fermenting oranges. Goodbye Kim Leng. Sigh, he was one of the nicest person you can find around and he will be sorely missed.(without him, we are also lacking a bball player.) The damn bugger was grinning from ear to ear too, well aware that he was so-called "going away to a better place". :) |
