1. You must be willing to be an arrow magnet because when it comes to vehicles, everything is under your jurisdiction, hence everything you must do! (it doesn't matter if you have no formal training, just sign on the dotted line...)
2. You must be willing to be the subject of envy and discrimination by your fellow scout platoon mates. Everyone wants your job and since they cant have it, sour grapes :)
3. You must not complain about washing vehicles because sadly troopers and commanders who use the vehicle are adamantly against cleaning them.
4. You must pray that your vehicle does not have 100 hour servicing during your tour of duty.
5. You must enjoy being a taxi driver.

We got a taste of what ATEC would be like and boy is it good! I enjoy navigation and I hate infiltration so the whole FTX was rather enjoyable. The only quibble I have is the long periods of waiting between pick-ups where me and Jeffery practically melted in the heat.
